Community Support And Membership Page

The BDSRA has an ongoing commitment to further the efforts of research to find a viable treatment and eventually eliminate Batten Disease.

Donations over $2 are tax deductible click here for further details.

With thanks to the McDonalds Restaurants in every state of Australia, we can make this disease more aware to the public. On the 31st of March each year you can see our Awareness poster on the community board of each restaurant.

Communities can further support this Day by offering to display these posters in their businesses. It is the awareness that brings knowledge to the public and assists with early diagnoses.

Contributions and fundraising activities provide the funding towards worldwide medical science, as the scientists continue to work tirelessly to find the answers to the Batten Disease mystery.

To-date, the Chapter seeks public support to continue it's informational service and with an ultimate aim of furthering research work in Australia. In the year 2006, it is hoped to have raised enough funding to bring more scientific expertise to Australia. "The Cure Depends on Us".
